Matrox uses a matrix made from Melt-Blown fibres forming a controlled porosity network that is able to capture particulate matter and to absorb it safely within the body of the filter. Maximum rigidity is obtained thanks to the structure of the cartridge, which consists of non-pleated filtration layers around a polypropylene core, while maximum protection is achieved thanks to a sturdy outer cage. An extremely long service life and very high contaminant retaining capacity, mated to minimise maintenance requirements, make for lower operating costs. Matrox filter cartridges have a rated filtration efficiency of 95% (ACTD) and porosity levels in the 0.3 to 90 micron range.
